Many people seek help from a Seattle chiropractor for a variety of painful conditions.  Some of the most common conditions people seek help from chiropractors for are headaches, migraines, neck pain and shoulder pain.  People think and are told that these pains are caused by a poorly functioning joint in their neck which is why they seek help from a seattle chiropractic clinic when in fact they should be seeking help from a dental clinic.  The reason for this being is that the problematic joint which causes the symptoms is much more frequently not in your neck but it is your jaw joints. 

 Otherwise known as your TemperoMandiular Joints or TMJs, your jaw joints can become poorly aligned or damaged and lead to a variety of symptoms such as headaches, migraines, facial pain, earaches and ringing, shoulder pain and neck pain.  The reason for this being is that your jaw joints dictate the movement and position of nearly all the muscle volume in the skull, and spastic or fatigued muscles due to their misalignment can be very painful and lead to a cascade of other painful symptoms because they interfere which blood flow and nerves to other regions of the head.  The only way to properly align these muscles is to properly align the jaw joints which dictate their position.  Furthermore, the only way to align your jaw joints is to properly align what controls their position, your teeth.  The fact that your teeth can lead to headaches, neck pain, etc. is the connection that most people don’t ever understand which is why they visit chiropractors and why they stay in pain.
