Toothache Remedies
There exist a number of toothache remedies. The most common home treatment is painkillers. If you find that the pain does not subside, you should consult your dentist immediately.
Obviously, the best method of remedy for a toothache is prevention, and following your Seattle dentists guidelines for the proper oral hygiene is the best form of prevention. Most dentists recommend brushing at least twice daily. You can prevent build –up of tartar and plaque even better by brushing after every meal or snack. You should also floss once a day and visit your dentist every 6 months for a professional cleaning and full oral examination.
If you do experience a toothache, there are some toothache remedies that can help alleviate the pain. A warm salt water rinse can help rid your mouth of bacteria. Temporary pain relief can be provided by over the counter pain medications, but should not replace a visit to your Seattle dentists. There are also a number of antiseptics, gels, and oils that can be applied directly to the site of pain to help numb the area and offer short-term relief.
Natural healing has also been referred to as a toothache remedy. Doctors who specialize in this field use holistic treatments and/or exercises to help ease the pain and heal the teeth. Regardless of which technique you favor, be sure to seek advice from a specialist if your pain continues.
